What does it take to "get the Gospel out there?" If a hundred different things came to your mind, then you answered correctly! For Philip Davis, one of the many Pastors in Liberia whom Equip2serve ministers to, it's first and foremost a heart for God. Philip is taking the Great Commission seriously. He has a heart to see his own people come to Christ. Then taking it a step farther, to see them grow in the knowledge of Jesus Christ.
Philip was given some important tools. We all know that without the proper tools a job just can't get done. Equip2serve was able to give Philip a study Bible. Can you imagine not having a Bible, yet expected to teach your congregation? Having studied the foundational truths of scripture, Philip's understanding of God grew. Philip is now able to share the Bible lessons to his own congregation! That is multiplication.
But the story really doesn't end there. His desire to share more was really crippled by distance. How was he to get from point A to point B? Through a generous gift, Philip was given a motorcycle. What a blessing! Speeding the gospel along? Oh yes! Philip now travels 40 miles outside the city of Monrovia to a small village to share the gospel with a group of eager listeners. By having this motorcycle Philip can better utilize his time and expand his ministry!
What are we doing to speed up the Gospel?
"I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now." Phil.1:3-5
