Follow...as we Follow Jesus

Some may not venture out to a foreign land when they are 65+ years of age.  There might be a whole lot of reasons why they couldn't or wouldn't. You see their hips and knees might not feel so limber, and their eyesight may be a bit weak. The comfort of home and routine is a hard commodity to give up. But when it comes to following Jesus, there is no age limit, no borders too hard to cross!

But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, and how from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.” 2 Timothy 3:14-15

Their passion for Jesus and for the lost hasn't changed over the years. It's still the same at it was in their 30's!  God gave them a wonderful gift of friendship. Along with that the blessing of serving together in Liberia for many years.

Their suitcases are carefully packed each with gifts of love, clothes, food, tools, Bible studies, and malaria medicine. For a month they will sacrifice some things that we take for granted. But in that sacrifice, we know that what brings them joy is following Jesus no matter what.

So, in just a few short hours, they will be crossing the vast ocean to a needy country, Liberia.  Our team can't be more privileged than we are now.  Why?  Because we have four beautiful examples of how to follow Jesus on our team!  A life long legacy of putting Jesus first and serving whole heartedly.

Thank you Ken & Rosemary. Thank you Hank & Margaret.

Thank you Jesus! Because you first loved us, we can then love and serve others!

You therefore my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also. 2 Timothy 2:1-2
